DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nProteomics aims to identify and quantify all the proteins
and peptides within a sample. Mass-spectrometry is the most common tool f
or proteomics and the wide array of methods\, techniques and specialised a
pproaches available have made it a popular method for probing cells\, tiss
ue and organisms in response to various stimuli or diseases.\n\nEach prote
omics method has unique experimental design considerations and optimum wor
kflows for data analysis meaning that there is no one-size-fits all soluti
on. The variety of approaches available provides flexibility but can be be
wildering and a barrier to getting started.\n\nThis webinar sets you up wi
th the foundational knowledge of what to look out for when designing and u
nderstanding proteomics experiments. It outlines what you can and can’t
do with proteomics\, the type of data to expect as well as common data ana
lysis approaches and quality control steps.\n\n**Speakers:**\nDr Luke Carr
oll\, Technology Manager - Mass Spectrometry\, Australian Proteome Analysi
 s Facility\, Macquarie University\n\nAssociate Professor Matt Padula\, Dir
ector - Proteomics\, Lipidomics and Metabolomics Core Facility\, Universit
y of Technology Sydney\n\nDr Johan Gustafsson\, Bioinformatics Engagement
 Officer\, Australian BioCommons\n\n**Date/time: 7 June 2023\, 1 - 2pm AEST
  / 12:30 - 1:30pm ACST / 11am - 12pm AWST**\n\n**Who the webinar is for:**
\n\nThis webinar is for life scientists and bioinformaticians who are emba
rking on proteomics experiments as part of their research.\n\n**How to joi
n**\n\nThis webinar takes place online via Zoom.\n\nIt is free to join but
you must register for a place in advance. \n**[Register here](https://uni
