DESCRIPTION:This webinar series is a joint venture of GHGA and de.NBI &amp\
; ELIXIR-DE\n\nIn this webinar\, you can learn more about how the German N
etwork for Bioinformatics Infrastructure (de.NBI) and ELIXIR Germany are a
t the forefront of advancing bioinformatics and creating a robust Research
Data Management (RDM) ecosystem in the life sciences. As part of a Europe
an ELIXIR infrastructure\, they provide a comprehensive portfolio of servi
ces\, tools\, training opportunities\, and platforms supporting researcher
s in managing\, analyzing\, and sharing their data efficiently and securel
y.\n\nThe de.NBI Cloud works hand in hand with the recently established de
.KCD (Competence Center for Cloud Technologies and Data Management). This
center provides expertise\, training\, and best practices in cloud computi
ng and RDM. Together\, they deliver scalable computing and storage resourc
es that meet the growing demands of big data\, reproducible research\, and
interdisciplinary collaboration.\n\nThis presentation offers a practical
introduction to getting started with the de.NBI Cloud\, including step-by-
step guidance on registration\, project proposal submission\, and gaining
access to resources. The SimpleVM self-service platform of the de.NBI Clou
d enables researchers - even with minimal technical background - to easily
launch\, configure\, and manage virtual machines tailored to their comput
ational projects.\n\nLooking ahead\, the webinar will highlight how the de
.NBI cloud intends to drive forward the integration of the de.NBI Cloud in
to RDM frameworks\, with a strong focus on implementing the FAIR data prin
ciples. Future tasks will include best practices for organizing project da
ta\, the use of cloud-based workflows\, and secure data exchange between i
nstitutions. In addition\, we plan to expand our focus on the responsible
handling of sensitive data in order to keep pace with advancing data prote
ction and compliance requirements.\n\nThis webinar is aimed at students\,
early career researchers\, clinicians\, bioinformaticians and everyone int
erested in using the de.NBI Cloud. \nThe webinar will be held by Daniel W
 ibberg from Forschungszentrum Jülich (de.NBI &amp\; ELIXIR-DE) .\nThe eve
nt is in English\, it takes approx. 60 minutes and will be held on 14th Oc
tober 2025\, 13:00 CEST (available afterwards on demand). Attendance is fr
ee\, but we ask for registration.
