 ever wondered what research data management really is? Why is it so import
 ant? What is special about handling agricultural data? Then de.NBI and FAI
 Ragro have created the perfect training for you!\n\nMore and more funders 
 require the establishment of research data management plans to distribute 
 their grants. Over the course of just four hours\, you get the chance to l
 earn about how to transfer research project proposals into proper Data Man
 agement Plans (DMPs). Data management experts will guide you through the b
 asics of research data management\, the dos and don’ts and how to improv
 e the management of the data produced in agrosystem research projects. Aft
 er a short introduction to the research data life cycle and the FAIR data 
 principles\, we will explore in multiple hands-on sessions what a data man
 agement plan (DMP) is. Therefore we will take a special look at agricultur
 al data such as soil data\, geospatial data\, genetic data\, phenotypic da
 ta\, sensor data\, and general field data. We will sink our teeth into com
 ponents\, language\, software and examples of DMPs. In light of the FAIR p
 rinciples\, we will evaluate possible problems and solutions and self-asse
 ss a drafted DMP for our own projects.\n\nThis workshop ios for everyone w
 ho is working with data from the agrosystem science and is interested in g
 aining skills in research data management and writing a data management pl
 an.\n\nLearning goals:\n- Know the research life cycle\n- Know the FAIR pr
 inciples and understand their importance\n- Know the expectations for a DM
 P\n- Be able to sketch a DMP\n\nPrerequisites:\nA computer with internet c
