The three INSDC members (ENA\, NCBI-SRA and DDB J-SRA) routinely exchange data which ensures nucleotide data is archived a nd shared across geographically dispersed locations (Europe\, USA and Japa n). The ENA is provided by EMBL’s European Bioinformatics Institute\, EM BL-EBI.\n\nThis workshop provides an introduction to the ENA data and meta data model and data retrieval tools\, followed by an opportunity to practi ce retrieving a range of different data types from the ENA using a variety of tools and protocols.\n\n**Learning outcomes:**\n\nBy the end of this w orkshop you should be able to:\n\n* Outline the ENA data and metadata stan dards \n* Identify the metadata fields associated with different data typ es submitted to the INSDC \n* Build queries based on the datasets you wou ld like to retrieve \n* Describe of the range of tools offered by the ENA to download data files \n* Practice data retrieval using the ENA advance d search\n\n**Location:** Online via Zoom.\n\n**Date/Time:** Thursday 3 Ap ril 2025\, 1 \\- 3 pm AEDT / 12 \\- 2 pm AEST / 12:30 \\- 2:30 pm ACDT / 1 0 am \\- 12 pm AWST.
