Date: 17 - 18 November 2016

Description

R is a language and environment for data analysis, and one of the most popular tools in data science. This course will give you a working knowledge of R and RStudio, the accompanying IDE, as well as an overview of some common "data wrangling" tasks and analysis methods and how to perform them using R.

The course consists of a flexible combination of lectures, examples and exercises with an emphasis on hands-on experience. If you have any data of your own that you would like to work on, you are warmly welcome to bring it along.

Learning outcome

After the course you should be able to learn more advanced R usage and figure out how to apply new methods on your own.

Prerequisites

Basic understanding of programming in general is assumed, but no prior experience with R is expected. Basic understanding of statistics is recommended.
