Discover and explore bioImages online: the new BioImage Archive website
Date: 23 April 2026 @ 09:00 - 17:00
The BioImage Archive (BIA) at EMBL-EBI is a public repository for biological imaging data spanning multiple modalities and scales, from molecular to organism-level imaging. By ensuring that bioimages are FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable), the BIA enables reproducible research and facilitates large-scale data reuse in the life sciences. To further enhance accessibility and reuse, we are launching a new website that enables interactive, in-browser visualisation of imaging data, removing the need to download large datasets. The platform also introduces improved search capabilities, allowing users to discover not only studies but also individual images of interest. In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the new website and demonstrate how you can use these features to explore and make the most of bioimage data for your research.
