• Prokaryotic genome-resolved data mining through the Ocean Microbiomics Database: This session introduces the Ocean Microbiomics Database as a unified, standardised resource for prokaryotic genome-resolved data mining, covering MAG reconstruction, metadata contextualisation, and the exploration of links between marine ecological patterns and microbial genomic information.
• The challenges of eukaryotic MAGs: This session explores the challenges of recovering eukaryotic MAGs, focusing on the complexity of eukaryotic genomes, low genome abundance, and the limited availability of suitable markers and reference genomes for accurate genome reconstruction and taxonomic classification.
