Strategies for computational vaccine design: from prefusion stabilisation to epitope focussing
Date: 4 November 2026 @ 09:00 - 17:00
In this webinar, we will explore the state of the art in computational and structure-based vaccine design. Specifically, we will discuss two prominent strategies: preserving a vaccine antigen in its prefusion conformation through a few stabilising mutations, and extracting epitope information for scaffolding onto non-antigen protein backbones. We will also discuss the advantages and limitations of both approaches. This event is part of the webinar series “Integrating structural biology and bioinformatics to study infection”.
