Recorded webinar
Artificial intelligence in biomedical science in Argentina
This webinar presents several applications of artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on machine learning techniques applied to the study of cancer, COVID-19 and other biomedical conditions. These efforts stem from research projects conducted in Argentina and through international collaborations. We will illustrate analyses of gene expression profiles across different cancer types using clustering algorithms, as well as the identification of potential markers and relevant determinants through classification models. In the latter case, predictive models are trained and evaluated to assess their ability to anticipate various states or features associated with these conditions. This webinar is part of the “Applications of artificial intelligence for biosciences in Latin America” webinar series, organised as part of the BiotrAIn project, a collaboration between University of Costa Rica, CABANAnet and EMBL-EBI, funded by the Chan Zuckerberg initiative. This webinar is delivered in English. Synchronised captions are provided in both English and Spanish. The Spanish translation has been automatically generated and is currently under review.
